sold out

Euro Cost: €250

Venue: Donegal: Three Trees, Quigley’s Point, (Click for direction)

Dates: Friday 14th June – Sunday 16th June

Times: Friday 6pm - 9pm, Saturday & Sunday 10am – 5pm

Limited to 8 people

Come and join me for a weekend of soft pastel painting and enjoy this unique medium where we use techniques of mixing colours on the paper instead of the palette.

Students will learn how to draw using observational mapping techniques as well as hand-eye coordination. We will look at the importance of deciding the right colour & value of paper when choosing a composition as well as the various textured papers available.

Working from images provided you will learn the importance of colour theory, mark-making and blending techniques and also learn when not to blend, which can be just as important!

Like all my workshops, this is open to both beginners & improvers.

Additional Information.

  • The materials list & more detail on the course will be sent to students one month prior to class

  • Mid-morning tea & scones will be available & students are welcome to bring their own lunch to the studio or avail of the local eateries.

  • Students will be able to leave their materials safely in the studio all weekend

  • Free Parking
