Oil Portrait – The Dark Hedges – 18 Hour Course
In this 18 hour recording I will be taking you through the process of painting the famous landscape of the Dark Hedges
Working from a landscape palette, you will learn about the mediums required when working with oil paint and how to break down our painting into stages and overcome the challenge that oil painting can sometimes cause, especially with an image like the Dark Hedges, which has a lot of information in it
You will be walked through each process, learning the importance of a limited palette, how to prepare your canvas, learn how to premix colours as well as building layers for the more complex tones that create difference between textures.
Once you’ve completed this course, and with practice, you will have the confidence & technique to tackle your very own landscapes.
Like all my classes/workshop, this is open to both beginners & improvers.

All Instructional videos are recorded from live zoom classes. Recordings have been edited so only the tutor can be seen and heard throughout demonstrations
